Pediatric Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing quality care to the residents. Delivers direct care by taking vitals, administering medication, and reporting directly to the RN Manager or Doctor on resident status. Always maintains patient comfort and safety.

Job Duties:

  • Facilitate communication between the patient and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship by providing education and promoting self-advocacy and independence.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology to document skilled services provided.
  • Follows the facility's or unit's rules and regulations
  • possesses the expertise required to give patients assigned by the hospital or unit the proper treatment.
  • Effectively communicates with patients, guests, doctors, and coworkers
  • Reprioritizes treatment based on the results of continuing evaluations, which are based on the patient's condition and/or the policies, procedures, or protocols of the client institution.
  • Carries out the right therapies in a timely and correct manner as directed by the doctor.
  • Records the results of the patient evaluation, the patient's physical and psychological reactions to nursing care, and the patient's progress in solving problems.
  • Keeps information about patients, families, and client facility employees private.
  • During each shift, report the patient's condition to the relevant staff.
  • Personnel working at the site oversee RN supervision.
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized nursing program
  • Current certification in CPR. Proof of BLS and all other qualifications needed, according to the specialization of the nurse, as specified by the facility or unit
  • Currently holding a valid license to work as a registered nurse in the placement state
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an RN in the US (recommended)
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
