The Chili's Line Cook is responsible to prepare food in accordance with all Chili's Grill & Bar specifications and company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Main Duties:
- Make different kinds of food using different techniques and follow certain steps for preparing and handling products and arranging them on a plate.
- Follows all of Chili's Grill & Bar's instructions for preparation and keeps the quality of the food good and regular.
- Keep everything in the kitchen clean. During the shift, clean and sanitize.
- Make sure that ready-made food keeps coming out of the kitchen.
- As needed, let the QA, boss, and hosts know about ticket times and possible problems.
- Do the prep work you were given to stock and set up areas as needed.
- At the end of your shift, clean up your work area or stations.
- Make sure that all of the goods and stock items are rotated properly.
- Change shifts and/or do tasks for opening and closing.
- Follow all of the company's rules and instructions for safety and cleanliness.
- Help other team members when they need it or when the business needs it.
- Do any other tasks that are given to you.
Requirements:
- Stands or walks the whole shift
- Often reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes
- Moves and lifts up to 50 pounds
- Puts things on high shelves and in the walk-in cooler and/or freezer
- Often works in a hot and damp place of business; uses sharp knives and other tools
- Could use slicers or other cooking tools
- Must be able to hold heavy things (like knives and pans) in your hands for long amounts of time.
- Must be ready to work holidays and on the weekends.
- Having worked in full service Relaxed Food
- Friendly, warm, and caring demeanor with Team Members
- Thinks and acts quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Able to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- No experience necessary
