The role of Customer Service Representative is pivotal in the success of our retail operations. These specialists engage directly with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest the most suitable solutions. They are responsible for swiftly addressing any customer concerns to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Customer Service Specialists must also remain knowledgeable about product features and uphold the quality and visual standards of both the products and the store. Achieving outstanding customer service is a key part of their role, alongside consistently meeting the store’s sales targets.

- Assisting customers both in person and over the phone, understanding their needs, and presenting the appropriate products and services.
- Building productive and trust-based relationships with both wholesale and retail customers is crucial.
- Accurate and policy-compliant processing of sales transactions is necessary to maintain a smooth operation.
- Achieving sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis is a key responsibility.
- Maintaining precise work order files and formulas, pulling the correct products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing products to customer specifications are also part of the role.
- Stocking shelves, setting up displays, cleaning store equipment, and loading/unloading delivery trucks are necessary tasks to keep the store running efficiently.
- Assisting in deliveries when needed and ensuring assigned areas are in-stock and presentable are important for operational excellence.
- Remaining knowledgeable about the products offered and discussing available options with customers helps in providing informed service.
- Complying with inventory control procedures and suggesting ways to improve sales are also expected.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for a work visa.
- Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products.
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, with a preference for Spanish.
