Staff Accountant III - Financial Reporting (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote Work)

This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days and the rest remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of disclosures for the 10-Q/10-K Footnotes and MD&A.

  • Detailed tie-out of 10-Q/10-K.

  • Preparation of Quarterly Analytical Deck for CFO.

  • Compile and provide audit support as requested by internal and external auditors.

  • Preparation of various journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Assistance with quarterly reconciliation reviews and analysis for all of Accounting group.

  • Maintenance of general ledger system (PeopleSoft) including opening and closing the ledger.

  • Perform the PeopleSoft super user role for the general ledger module which includes responsibility for calendar maintenance, security roles, chart of accounts, mapping tables, tree/structure maintenance and combination edit rules.

  • Support proper consolidations and eliminations each reporting period/cycle, quarter-end and year-end, ensuring proper cut-offs.

  • Support SOX compliance activities around system transaction monitoring, data integrity and user access controls.

  • Provide account reconciliation system (Blackline) administrative support.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Internal: Internal Audit, Accounting, IT

  • External: External Audit, Blackline Vendor

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant work experience required (in role or similar role)

  • Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP), external/SEC reporting and internal controls with SEC registrant and related knowledge.

  • Outstanding personal and professional ethical values with impeccable integrity.

  • Strong personal initiative, enthusiasm, results oriented and resourcefulness; exhibit a commitment to achieving the organization’s goals and ability to overcome obstacles in a collaborative manner.

  • Strong team orientation; willingness to help larger team meet goals and responsibilities.

  • Excellent analytical, organization, planning and project management skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

  • An individual who brings enthusiasm and energy to the job each day and who welcome a challenge and brings a “can do” attitude to the team.

Education:

  • BA/BS in Accounting required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience with PeopleSoft and Blackline

  • CPA preferred.
