Sr Manager, Replenishment Produce (Hybrid Role: Mix of Onsite & Virtual)

Flexible Work Policy: The Sr. Manager, Replenishment Produce position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite ( 2 days per week) and virtual (3 days per week). This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Replenishment Produce Buyers and Leads to achieve service level, PO accuracy, Days of Inventory on Hand (DIOH), spoilage and freight expectations.

Develops personnel (recruitment, interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, professional development including periodical 1 on 1s) while driving company cultural beliefs.

Monitor and review KPI performance vs. goals, provide buyer direction and take corrective action to ensure performance targets are met, maximizing performance.

Ownership of forecasting using JDA-Manugistics.

Ownership of regional LPM/LPW metrics.

Serves as a subject matter expert on Manugistic, PRISM, and ASYS and will participate in the identification of system/process enhancements and assist with implementation.

Drives demand best practices by conducting knowledge sharing meetings to improve the team’s awareness. Assist in development of proper safety stock strategies

Conducts meetings to review issues and determine resolution strategies, resolves issues by taking appropriate actions or escalating as needed

Serves as subject matter expert for assigned product categories. Works with Category Management team to maximize growth and profit opportunities tied to Replenishment.

Collaborate with Logistics, Category Management, Vendor Management and National Account Teams on resolution of freight, vendor, and contract pricing issues.

Monitors market conditions and instructs buyers to act regarding price and purchase decision. Take lead with Future event planning and school ramp up/down.

Schedule and conduct calls, meetings or business reviews with markets, in addition; provide support as needed at markets sales meetings to roll out new processes or resolve issues.

Serve as the subject matter expert to US Foods markets and cross functional teams regarding process and procedures on logistics systems and work flow as it relates to replenishment/logistics strategies and vendor pricing/invoice strategies.

Utilize financial, logistical, and procurement databases/systems to assist in the development and integration of operational efficiencies.

Work with markets and logistics to ensure mark cost and margins are correctly captured.

Ownership of LPM / LPW metrics for assigned team.

Manages a team of Replenishment Produce Buyers and Leads

Internal:Sr. Regional Produce Director, Director Replenishment, Replenishment Produce Buyers, Replen lead and ARMs, PCOMs, Logistics, Operations,FSQA, Merchandising, Sourcing managers , Category management, Human Resources and IT

External:Suppliers, brokers

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: Four-year degree or equivalent experience required

Related Experience: Minimum 7 years replenishment experience required.Prior foodservice and management experience preferred. Minimum 3 years prior management experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - especially Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook.Must be extremely organized, analytical and possess highly developed written/oral communication, management, training and interpersonal skills. PRISM and E3/AWR experience preferred
